And I am convinced it is this critical education that inspired such madness as Arthur's Up Here There Are Only Birds, a cassette of narrated short stories. (Brightest moment: Resurrection Blues in which Jesus learns to play blues guitar!)

In between writing short stories and novels, Arthur writes a number of comics. Hallowed Knight features a cover by Dmitri Patelis and is due out soon, followed by Shades of Slade, from which Not With a Whimper was taken. Whimper features a lot of bugs and we all die in the end. Don't read Arthur's stories before bedtime.

Coming up, we'll be working together on some lighter stuff tentatively titled Captain Tragic. All I can say about that right now is the character designs look great, and the main guy speaks like William Shatner. Well, at least that's the voice I hear when I read the script...
